Running on top of Australia

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you have enjoyed lots of tasty food 🙂 Our Christmas got off to a bit of a rocky start. The oven in the apartment we are renting for the week is broken and we only discovered this on Christmas eve when we went to cook a lamb forequarter roast… Luckily the BBQ came to the rescue and the roast was chopped into pieces that were DELICIOUS! But it means all meals need to be cooked on the BBQ or in the microwave…

So it has been ham and salad for lunches and BBQ meat with salad/veggies for dinner. Lucky we like those meals although there may be a pizza from the local Italian restaurant on the horizon soon…

Aside from our meal dramas it has been a good week of training so far. Running ‘on top of Australia’ (from Kosciusko to Blue Lake), open water swims (also enjoyed by the dogs!), cycling with no deadline to get back for and or course lots of recovery! I have carried my camera around and taken far to few photos. But here is one from a beautiful day at Charlotte’s Pass!
