Choc berry paleo pancakes

Every now and again we all need a little indulgence – there is nothing wrong with that and here’s a treat that is not only a delicious indulgence but it’s super quick to make (think sitting on the couch post dinner longing for dessert and you can have this ready in 15 minutes!) and paleo 🙂

Choc berry paleo pancakes


Pancakes (Banana pancakes from my previous post Trying Paleo again)

  • 2 bananas
  • 2 egg
  • 2 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

Choc sauce

  • ¼ c honey
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp raw cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

Berry sauce

  • 1 c frozen raspberries
  • 1 tbsp honey

Coconut flakes to top

The method couldn’t be easier although it does require some multitasking!

1. Mash banana in a bowl. Whisk in egg, almond butter and vanilla.

2. Place chocolate sauce ingredients in a small pot. Also place berry sauce ingredients in another small pot.

3. Place both pots on the stove on low.

4. Heat pan for pancakes on stove.


5. Continue stirring chocolate sauce and berry sauce while cooking pancakes. By the time the pancakes are all cooked the chocolate should be smooth and the berries reduced to a thick sauce.


6. Serve pancakes topped with berries and chocolate sauce and sprinkle with coconut flakes!
